Veterinary Technician Assistant Program 

NAVTA recently announced the creation of a certification process for becoming a Veterinary Technician Assistant.  We are prepared to begin approving schools and their programs that would allow future graduates to become Certified Veterinary Technician Assistants (VTA).  Programs must be affiliated with an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program.   

To be eligible to sit for the national VTA examination, students must graduate from an approved program and demonstrate knowledge on the job.  The test will be issued through VetMedTeam.com, an online educational resource, and those who pass will become a Certified Veterinary Technician Assistant.
