NAVTA Seeks Members for Nominating Committee

If you are a Credentialed Veterinary Technician member of NAVTA and would like to help shape the future of the association’s leadership team, please submit your name for consideration to serve on NAVTA’s 2023 Nominating Committee.

The 2023 Nominating Committee will be charged with finding an eligible candidate or candidates to fill the one Director seat that will become vacant in January 2024.

The Nominating Committee’s work will begin in August and end by mid-October. It is expected that committee members will be available for one-hour weekly Zoom calls during that time. It is expected that the heaviest workload for the committee will happen from mid-September to early-October, during which time frequent Zoom calls may be necessary.

The Nominating Committee will be chaired by Ashli Selke, NAVTA’s Immediate Past President. In addition to the Chair, there will be one (1) current Member of the Board of Directors whose term is not expiring; one (1) current NAVTA Committee Chair; one (1) member or the Chair of NAVTA’s DEIB Committee; and three at-large Credentialed Members of NAVTA chosen and appointed by the NAVTA President.

To complete your application, please have your NAVTA membership number on hand (click HERE to find your membership number), your resume or CV, as well as prepare a short statement (200 words or less) telling us why you want to serve on the Nominating Committee.
Deadline for submission of applications is 5 pm Eastern Time, Monday, July 31, 2023.

Please note: if you have any intention of nominating yourself or being nominated for the open Director seat, please do not volunteer to serve on the Nominating Committee, as that will constitute a conflict of interest and you would be disqualified from serving on the Nominating Committee.
