Any individual not meeting the requirements of a Credentialed Member or Student member, but is interested in the Association’s goals. Associate members can serve on committees but may not vote or hold an elected office. Associate membership is open to veterinarians, veterinary technicians/nurses who reside in the USA, and veterinary assistants.

An individual who is certified, licensed, or registered as a veterinary technician or veterinary nurse, and who resides in the United States of America. Credentialed members are entitled to vote and hold an elected office. Credentialed members must live in the United States.
An individual enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology or veterinary nursing education program (that does not have a Student Chapter of NAVTA) and is entitled to all benefits of an Associate Member.
Any individual who supports veterinarians and Credentialed Veterinary Technicians/Nurses, but whose duties are separate and distinct from those professionals. Veterinary Assistants may have earned the credential of Approved Veterinary Assistant from NAVTA. Veterinary Assistant members may be eligible to serve on committees, but may not vote or hold an elected office.
An individual who is certified, licensed, or registered as a veterinary technician or veterinary nurse, and who resides in the United States of America. Credentialed members receive full member voting privileges and opportunities to serve on the Board of Directors in both organizations, in addition to all the programming and discounts available to members. Credentialed members must live in the United States.

The National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA) was formed in East Lansing, Mich., in 1981 with the goal of allowing veterinary technicians to give input on national issues involving the veterinary profession.
Since then, NAVTA has grown and seen many successes, including the declaration of National Veterinary Technician Week, the formation of the Committee on Veterinary Technician Specialties, the Veterinary Nurse Initiative, and much more.
Your membership lends your voice to the future of the profession. With input from our members, NAVTA is able to advance the veterinary technology/nursing profession.
Your membership is by calendar year and expires December 31st each year.

Your membership must be current and in good standing. Log in to your NAVTA Member Portal . From the left-hand navigation menu, click Member Benefits to view the benefits available with your membership. For help accessing your user name and password, email us at info@navta.net
Visit the NAVTA Member Portal. Enter the email address and password associated with your account to access your member profile.
If you have forgotten your password, click Forgot Password on the sign-in page. A password reset email will be sent to the email address associated with your account. Follow the instructions in the email to create a new password and regain access to your account.
Tip: Be sure to use the email address associated with your NAVTA membership. Once logged in, you’ll be able to access your member benefits, membership card, CE certificates, and account information.

Log in to your NAVTA Member Portal. Your Member ID is displayed in the upper left corner of your profile, directly beneath your name. You can also click Membership Card in the left-hand menu to access your digital membership card and member information.
Log in to your NAVTA Member Portal and click My Activities from the left-hand navigation menu.
On the My Activities page, select CE Hours. A list of all your completed courses and continuing education activities will appear.
From there, locate the course for which you need a certificate and click the available download option to access and save your CE certificate.
Tip: If you’ve recently completed a course, webinar, or event, it may take a short time for the certificate to appear in your CE Hours record.
