There is a great deal of activity and conversation within the veterinary technician profession today. NAVTA’s focus remains clear.
For more than 45 years, NAVTA has supported, united, and advanced the profession of veterinary technicians, veterinary nurses, technologists, and assistants. Our work is grounded in advocacy, professional development, awareness, and strong partnerships across the veterinary community.
NAVTA has long worked to bring together a broad and diverse membership with a shared goal: advancing the profession in meaningful and lasting ways. This includes progress in areas such as title protection, optimal utilization, and clearly defined scopes of practice across all states and U.S. territories.
Our strength comes from our people—our national board, regional representatives, committees, state associations, and the many volunteers who contribute their time and expertise. It is also reflected in our long-standing partnerships with professional associations, industry organizations, and stakeholders who share our commitment to the profession.
These collective efforts have built a strong foundation of resources—financial, human, and intellectual—that allow NAVTA to continue delivering on what matters most to our members.
As the profession continues to evolve, NAVTA remains focused on growing, improving, and responding to member needs. We are committed to listening, learning, and moving forward in a way that reflects the profession as it exists today and where it is going.
