The Michigan Association of Veterinary Technicians (MAVT) and the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA) are inviting members to participate in a series of listening sessions focused on the future of Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) scope of practice in Michigan.
These member-exclusive discussions will explore how Michigan can better utilize LVTs at the top of their education, training, and licensure to strengthen veterinary teams, improve access to care, and support high-quality patient outcomes. The sessions are designed to provide a collaborative forum for veterinary professionals to share perspectives, discuss opportunities and challenges, and help shape the future of veterinary medicine in the state.
As the profession continues to evolve, member feedback will play an important role in identifying ways veterinary teams can work together to support workforce sustainability and advance the role of LVTs within the veterinary healthcare team.
