It’s the most wonderful time of the year!!! National Veterinary Technician Week! Time to celebrate our profession, colleagues, education, and passion. And that is a lot to celebrate. Now, more than ever, Credentialed Veterinary Technicians are organizing as professionals. We are growing our voices and presence in the profession and beyond. We have risen as business owners, practice owners, entrepreneurs, creators, and leaders in every corner of the veterinary space.
As I have said for years on the Veterinary Viewfinder, “We are not a consolation prize.” We are a profession of our own and have so much to offer. And year after year that I have been credentialed, we have made steps to improve our profession’s status and are adding to strides. The more we unite in our actions, the more momentum these strides gain.
Each of you helps the association have a voice, and the association strives to represent your voice where Credentialed Veterinary Technicians are taking a seat at the table. Please take a moment this week to reflect on the difference you make every day, be proud of the passion you bring and the comfort you share in all that you do. You all make up the best profession in the world. I am proud to be a Credentialed Veterinary Technician, and I hope you are too this week and every other week.
