The SCNAVTA Committee is excited to introduce the SCNAVTA Advisor Mentor-Mentee Program, a new initiative designed to support and strengthen SCNAVTA chapters. This program aims to break down barriers that may discourage current and prospective chapters by fostering direct support, engagement, and collaboration between advisors.
Whether you’re starting a new chapter or looking to enhance an existing one, this program provides the tools and guidance needed to ensure success.
About the Program
The SCNAVTA Advisor Mentor-Mentee Program connects experienced SCNAVTA advisors with chapters seeking support and mentorship. New chapters will automatically be assigned a mentor for their first year to provide consistent guidance as they build a strong foundation.
Mentors and mentees will work together to:
- Define goals and set expectations for their partnership.
- Hold monthly check-ins to share progress, discuss challenges, and explore strategies for success.
- Foster collaboration and create meaningful connections within the SCNAVTA community.
How to Get Involved
Advisors and chapters interested in participating as a mentor or mentee are encouraged to complete this FORM by February 15, 2025.
Participants will also be invited to a March Zoom mixer, where SCNAVTA Committee members will provide an overview of the program and answer any questions.
This program is designed to support the creation and sustainability of SCNAVTA chapters, helping veterinary technology students connect, grow, and succeed.
