NAVTA is now accepting applications for the association’s Board of Directors. There will be three seats open in January 2025*:
- President-Elect
- Director (1)
- Director (2)
Deadline for receipt of nominations is 12 Noon Eastern Time, Friday, October 4, 2024.
Only Credentialed Veterinary Technicians who are and remain NAVTA members in good standing (dues paid through the end of the current dues year) are eligible for consideration for election to the Board. All Credentialed Members in elected or appointed positions must remain in good standing for the entirety of their terms.
There are additional eligibility requirements for each Board seat. Please be sure to review the eligibility requirements as shown in Article VIII, Section 5 – Eligibility, in NAVTA’s bylaws before applying.
Members of the Board of Directors serve terms of two (2) years beginning with the Association’s Annual General Membership Meeting, which will be January 21, 2025.
All applicants must complete NAVTA’s Conflict of Interest form, submit answers to mandatory questions, and supply NAVTA with their resume/CV, a short biography, and a photograph suitable for publication. All information supplied to NAVTA becomes the property of NAVTA and will be made public to NAVTA members should the candidate be included on a ballot for election.

*Thank you to the members who provided input on which Board seat should be extended for one year, to 2026. Of the 130 members who expressed an opinion, 72 said the Treasurer’s position should be extended. The NAVTA Board of Directors agreed with that opinion and the Treasurer’s term was extended to 2026, resulting in two Director seats being open in 2025.
