Upholding our obligation for full transparency, NAVTA is pleased to share the results of the recently-concluded financial audit of the 2023 fiscal year. The 2023 tax return is also available for inspection, as required by law. The 2023 audit was returned with no irregularities and no changes required.
By policy, NAVTA’s independent CPA conducts annual financial reviews, while a complete audit is conducted every three years. Both the financial review and audit help assure the association does not stray from Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), lessen the likelihood of the need for dramatic corrective actions, make the tax-filing process easier, and make the audit process less time-consuming.
NAVTA’s Finance Committee, consisting of the Treasurer, Immediate Past President, and a member of the Board of Directors appointed by the President, interviews and recommends to the Board of Directors an independent auditor to perform these services.
