If you are a Credentialed Veterinary Technician member of NAVTA and would like to help shape the future of the association’s leadership team, please submit your name for consideration to serve on NAVTA’s 2025 Nominating Committee.
The 2025 Nominating Committee will be charged with finding eligible candidates to fill the two seats on the Board of Directors that will become vacant in January 2026 (Treasurer and Director).
The Nominating Committee’s work will begin in July and end by mid-October. All of the committee’s work will be done via Zoom meetings, phone calls, and emails; there will be no in-person meetings. As a member of the committee, you will be asked to personally reach out to NAVTA members to ask them to consider running for election. However, the bulk of your work will be in assessing the candidates who submit forms for consideration so that you can present a ballot to the NAVTA President by mid-October. As such, it is expected that the heaviest workload for the committee will happen from mid-September to early-October.
The Nominating Committee will be chaired by Jamie Rauscher, NAVTA’s Past President. In addition to the Chair, there will be one (1) current Member of the Board of Directors whose term is not expiring (excluding the President and Treasurer); one (1) current NAVTA Committee Chair; one (1) member or the Chair of NAVTA’s DEIB Committee; and three at-large Credentialed Veterinary Technician Members of NAVTA chosen and appointed by the NAVTA President.

Please note: If you have any intention of nominating yourself or being nominated for the open seats, please do not volunteer to serve on the Nominating Committee, as that will constitute a conflict of interest and you would be disqualified from serving on the Nominating Committee.
